Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos is back with his new project POOR THINGS. The film, based on Alasdair Gray's 1992 novel of the same name, presents a surreal science fiction story wrapped in a romantic comedy that will invite viewers to understand the world of reality.

Bella Baxter is a young woman who has a sharp mind and high curiosity. She is brought back to life by an unusually brilliant scientist who is also her mentor and protector named Dr. Godwin Baxter after a mysterious accident.
As Bella adjusts to her new life, she realizes that the world has changed a lot since her death. Fascinated by the progress of the modern world, Bella wants to learn everything she can from technology to culture. However, once she meets Duncan Wedderburn, Bella realizes that there is more to life than just learning.
Turning fascinated with Duncan, Bella joins him on a wild adventure across the continents that exposes her to new sensations. As her journey continues, Bella begins to see the dark side of humanity when she is confronted with oppression and injustice.
